Commentary: This week I would like to speak about mixing art with models.  It will be the wave of the future, as computer programs will become more easy to use.  Notice in this week's example we have a beautiful Model, mixed with Art, and also some Product Placement.  This will look great in his portfolio and will show off to prospective buyers of his services in the future.  So if you have the pretty Model, the Photographic Talent, and Artistic ability you will be on your way to becoming the next generation's, "Picasso."

Sylvio Testa or "abclic" is well on his way.





The art of the vision includes beauty with a message, not just beauty anymore.





Here is a case where the art approaches reality, but the artist does something fantastic here.  He knows that Models try to make themselves up as "not real" (Ophelias-Overdose comes to mind) so he takes it to that limit, instead of trying to make his art look like a real girl.  Amazing.

Time Travel by EinStud

There is this process that begins from the imagination, and it is brought to be into existence called, "reality."  Everything in existence was born from some imagination.  I think it, then it becomes real.  I have said many times that before the chicken or the egg, the idea had to come first.  This is one way "time" should be measured.  From the time an idea is born, until the time of which it becomes reality.

Of course, this concept will not help you in planning to get to work on, "time."  Getting to work on time is scheduling time, or "occurrence" time.

Then there is "distance" time.  Usually it involves a speed rate.  How long will it take me to get from the Moon to Earth?  Let's assume in that question we are reading this question on Earth, and we are physically on Earth (for demonstration purposes).  The distance of 384,399 km must be traversed.  Let's say it takes 3 days.  That is a point to point distance concept of measuring time.  My kilometers per hour effects the "time" it will take to get from the Moon to the Earth.

But wait, there was an imagination to reality time concept we over looked.  We started off on the Moon to get to Earth.  The time it took to imagine that we were on the Moon was microseconds.  This at first seems absurd to want to be able to calculate this, but if we want to time travel, we must work on the correct concept.  When they say nothing is faster than the speed of light, well it only refers to physical objects traveling at a rate of speed.

Let me use another example.  In 1000 BC how much time would it take to tell half of the World that I just invented the steel wheel?  At guess, it might take me my whole life, if I do it individually.  If I use word of mouth, it would take perhaps a year or more.  And if I used the Internet, it would take seconds.  And they say nothing travels as fast as the speed of light...

My examples are made to exhibit why making declarations and rules about time are difficult, because time actually represents more than one thing.

Everything that you see right now, every thought that you have was born from the imagination and brought to reality.  It is something science cannot calculate (at this time, ha ha).  But as technology improves, there will be a time when all things that are real, like going to the 50's High School Dance when it is 2012, (real because you imagined it, and that is where all things that are real come from) will be possible.  And that is time travel.

There will come a time when I can imagine being on Mars, and reality will be sped up to make this possible.  There will come a time (the time is now) when I imagine being far from this galaxy, millions of light years away, and it took less than a microsecond.  The imagination has proved to be faster than the speed of light because we are comparing Apples to Oranges, but when reality catches up we will be comparing Apples to Apples.

I hope someone else will take this concept from here.  My real chicken sandwich is done, and it only took 3 minutes in the microwave (oh yeah, you guys reading this in the year 2100 go ahead and laugh).

Commentary: This week I would like to pay particular attention to those who "promote" the beautiful models in this world.  I will also share a couple of my comments to other models and photographers, so aspiring Promoters can see what to look for in a piece of art.  All Modeling Photography is Art.

- Models with products will get you more in life than a Model without products. How much more, it is not sure...

- As a model promoter, there is no better GOLD than the girl I find that has IT. And, the web page does not have any groups. And there is no comments. I always ALWAYS look to the model's face first. This here is the GOLD.

- Never NEVER put a Model in bad light.  I am a Texas Rangers fan.  But to diminish this model on my views is counter productive (she is wearing a Yankees Hat).  Don't even insinuate a dissension.

- Many a young girl has asked me how they can become a Model. I always say you can't go wrong with animals. This is one beautiful animal.

Model and Photographer promoters:  We will benefit by competing, but we all reap the rewards if we unite.  Promote the Promoter.

These were some of my comments for this week, as a model promoter.  "You Create.  I Promote."

Commentary: I am an amateur photographer at best.  I surely am not a model anymore (I could be the "Before" picture in those weight loss ads I guess).  But, I am a good critic on what the eye can see.  I see things in art that most everyone else see's, but I think I convey it in a way that helps the community (at least I hope).

When I look at amateur photos, I see the attempt to get everything, all of the beauty into one shot.  I also sometimes see a model looks better at different angles and lighting.  That girl down the street might have a great ass, and you want to show the world.  But take photos of her other parts, especially the face, at different light and angles.  Pay attention to the background.  Edit the background with a blur (Filter Forge has a great filter called, "Intravenous").  

I recommend, from an art appreciator's point of view, that a beginning photographer get close ups of the model's face, and be artistic there.  I'll show some of those examples in this edition of BAM! journalZine.



Simple close up with blurred background, artistic, and good lighting (no shadows).





The logo or signature is not obtrusive.

Commentary:  I think I will settle on the title for this journalZine to be, "EinStud's journalZine #".  Tom (IndeedeeGraphics) gave me an idea to look at an Artist called Nagel (Patrick Nagel).  I found some artists here at deviantArt that had made homage to Nagel.  Here's a feature of Nagel so other's can get a sense of his work.

Daily Commentary:  It's a Journal!  No, it's a Magazine!  How about, "journalZine?"  I'm still searching for a name to call my Journal.  I think journalZine is okay, maybe...  

Celebrity Apprentice is about to come on, so I have to make this quick tonight.  There is so much great art here at deviantArt, it's really hard to ever pick the "Best."  In life, when you see a hot girl, another "hotter" girl is coming around the corner.  That is how I see art.  Today I see the best piece of art ever, and tomorrow some other artist beats it.  Maybe it's mood and attitude?  

I am glad it is this way, because I know I will find more great art tomorrow.  And some of it is still inside some artist's head, waiting to see the light of day.

Daily Commentary:  I'm always looking for suggestions on how to improve my "journalZine."  What I look for in a model is the face.  Then I will notice the chest or legs, with special attention to skin tone.  Her fashion is important as it sets the tone for the scene.  Then lastly, the scene.  A girl standing in front of your hot new car parked out by the sidewalk creates little interest, unless she is wrestling with a pig and hitting the pig with her wig... you dig?    Creativity comes best when having fun.

Daily Commentary:  Well, my dog Daisy died today.  I knew it was coming.  She has been ill for a while now.  One side of me is okay that she is no longer in pain, but the other side of me learned a lot about getting real real old (18 Years Old).  Art and Music take my mind off of the situation, temporarily.

Halloween Collection l Digital Art Hall of Fame

I am having a contest, an easy one!

Starts March 28, 2012!

1.  Submit art that you will allow the world to share for free with no restrictions (you must say this in the description, and submit as "Resources & Stock Images / Miscellaneous").

2.  Here is an example of an entry:

3.  Notice the art is 3.14 inches by 3.14 inches and is 314 PPI - pixels per inch (these dimensions must be exact).  JPG is the format (.jpg)

4.  This contest is free and is open to all ages (so please, no rated "X" art since kids will be playing this contest).

5.  The last thing is to name your art so it will be easy for the world to find.  Name it "MCsquare ONE WORD OR NUMBER by YOUR NAME HERE".  Examples:  MCsquare 9 by ES, or MCsquare Snow by John Doe

6.  Just post a link to your image on this journal's comment section.  I will only look at the first 10 (maybe more).  

7.  Everyone who enters gets at least 1 point (I have a total limit of 1000 points).

8.  One entry per person per day.

9.  I can add or change the rules as needed (probably not needed).

11.  Good Luck!    And please be patient with me.  I have run contests before, but nothing like this.
